Cocoa Beach, FLORIDA

I have never been one to just sit and watch TV, I need to be doing something else... you could say that right now I am a little excited that finally TV shows that I can handle watching are on... or coming on... Right now we are sitting here watching 'Hells Kitchen'... I just really love that show...
Then on the 15th April we have the new season of 'Deadliest Catch' on the Discovery Channel where they go out to the Bearing Sea to go crabbing... one part of me would love to try this - though I know I would be sobbing like a baby after a few days... but if I could go out on a day that was sunny and calm - then I would love it if I knew that I could just leave in a few days... still, it is a great show and never take a crab for granted when I eat it... hehe
Then my all time fave is starting on Thursday... new episodes of 'CSI Vegas'... this is the only one I like and could watch it again and again... on TV they are on there continuously... I love it... when we go to Vegas in May I am going to buy a 'CSI Vegas' shirt... what can I say... I am addicted to the show... hehe... It is going to be fun going to Vegas this time around... we will be going to 'Valley Of Fire National Park' as I have been asked if I can write a little 'article' about this Park for a site that has stories about 'Road Less Travelled'... I wanted to get some photo from 'Valley Of Fire'... so, guess I will just have to go there to get some 'personal' photos... hehehe... good excuse if you ask me... Other then these exciting events for me... not a great deal but work going on... we have a new District Manager who is a royal pain in the rear end... we have SO much work to do and not enough people to do it all and they are cutting back our hours... oh great... well, as my philosophy goes... I go into work and it keeps me busy... don't think of the whole adoption process and so head down, do my thing and go home... I use to like my job (I work in a supermarket) but I can say that it doesn't really interest me that much anymore... they want you to do TO much (not that I am afraid to do hard work) but you have it done in less time and hours being cut and besides, where I work it is somewhat of a 'boys club' and I would say that 1/2 the managers there are so dammed anal and it is all about them... Though my boss and his assistant are the best of the managers there... The diet is going very well... I have now lost 4.5lbs... I decided that every Tues I would weigh myself... has it been hard... yes and no... I have to keep on walking every night and I have found that if I don't walk... I feel 'deflated'... it is very refreshing... I do know from previous experience that the first few weeks you loose it fast and then it slows down... I also know from experience that if you don't control your weight once you lose it... it comes back and more... don't want that happening...
(Part of Cocoa Beach - though Cocoa Beach Pier is further up the road)

(The Famous Ron Jon's - just part of his 'empire')(Yep, it is true... I Dream Of Jeannie Lane - where it was suppose to have been made - part of the show at least)
(Fishing Boat at Cape Canaveral)(Some onlookers)(Pays to be married to the boss of a one man business... this was where I had my 'business' lunch with Mike)
Mike had taken me out for lunch the other day when I went to work with him driving throughout Cocoa Beach... of course... the camera came with me... of course... took some happy snaps - when we were out for lunch I actually bought a grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich... with grilled onions, mushrooms, peppers and melt piece of cheese on top and was so proud of myself when I didn't eat the chips... will admit that once I ate it I felt like I was 'cheating' myself but then I thought "Well, I have been really good. Everything you are eating is grilled and it isn't those delicious Conch Fritters (that are fried) that I wanted..." but when I got home, I had a small salad for dinner and that was it... I try to not eat after 7pm... I can't recall the last time I had this much 'will power' (I don't usually have any) when trying to diet... must be getting older and wiser... now for a few pictures of my day working with Mike at Cocoa Beach... hope you enjoyed another post about nothing and enjoyed your little trip throughout Florida...

PS Ch9 in Australia is showing Gordon Ramsey's UK and US shows and they're really popular ... I like the UK show myself .. the US show has an annoying narrator

We love Hell's Kitchen too - and we don't watch TV (OK if hubby isn't home I will look for any TLC program to watch :-)). Although I was sad when that stay at home Dad got kicked off. Love the Florida pics.

Good for you! You're a legend!!!

Cocoa Beach looks beautiful!

We have "Hells Kitchen" too, but it's called "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" here!!! We watched it last night! We love it too! I actually really like Gordon. I think he's a very clever business man, and knows his stuff. I'm not always impressed with his "delivery" - but he's a chef, and most of them behave like arrogant so-and-so's!!

Hey Fliss....not much into Hell's Kitchen or CSI but I loved the photo of Dream of Jeannie Street! I loved that show growing up and always wanted to live at Cocoa Beach! hahahahahahaha Hang in there! OUR shared 2 year LID-iversary is coming on Saturday. Let's hope we don't go until a 3 year mark. I don't think we will, but then again I never dreamed we'd make it to a 2 year one either! hahahahahahaha
Keep up the good work on the diet and the walking! I'm proud of YOU!!!!!!!!
You go girl!!!!!
Love ya!
Susan

I read your post title and immediately thought
of I dream of Jeanie (which was my favorite show)
and low and behold........there's a road named that.

I've now lost 8 of the 28 infertility pounds I gained.
