Happy Birthday Chummy...

Happy Birthday to my baby sister Chummy... (not she isn't a boozer with the cup around her neck... we were on a 'Ghost Tour' in Sydney and this was a prop)... The spoilt baby... I cannot believe that you are now 21 (err... 30 something)... it only seems like yesterday that I remember when mum and dad were bringing you home from hospital... I am very proud of the woman you have become... though I still see you as my baby sister Chummy Lugs... you married a gorgeous guy and have 2 of the most gorgeous boys... they are more like you then you know... hehehe... we wish we were with you on your birthday but just know that we are thinking of you... at least we all had a great time when we were together in Sydney... regardless of the fact that I was adopted, you have always been my baby sister wholly and souly... we may go ages without talking but that is ok... I know when we do - it is like we have never been apart... I love you very much and miss you dearly... have a great day... (if I don't call you - I will get to you asap)

We have had our nephew Mikey down from Nth Carolina the past week... it was so nice to meet him and cannot get over how much he has grown... of course Mike and I were working most of the time... though after work on Thursday we took him down to the beach and I swear that kid had so much pent up energy... he spent about an hour trying to catch 'sand fleas'... it was such a windy day... I had sand plastered in my head, up my nose, in my ears etc but it was nice to get out in the sun after working all day indoors...
He wanted to go Geo-caching and so we got the coordinates for a few caches... turns out he was born to do this and had so much fun looking for the caches with Uncle Mike... after spending a few hours looking for the caches we headed off to Kennedy Space Centre... I just love going here. One of the first things we done was go to the Shuttle Launch Experience... you will see the 'You Tube' video here... it was awesome great... though this guy's video does it no justice it is the next best thing but to be on the ride was great fun... it honestly felt that you were heading off into space... though you know that you don't go anywhere near as fast as the real thing... we told Mikey that he could be 'in charge' and anywhere he wanted to go then we would follow him... the main thing he wanted to see was what they call the 'rocket garden'... that is the picture of all the rockets and there are capsules etc it was amazed at the size of the engines of the shuttle etc there... there is another part of KSC (Kennedy Space Centre) you can go to and you can get a bus tour out to the launch pad... (though that cost extra money)... if you are lucky you may get to see the Shuttle in the hanger hitched onto the booster rockets... I had the chance to see that many years ago... what an amazing sight...
Afterwards we took him out to dinner to 'Grillz' in Cape Canaveral where they make the most delicious Grilled Mahi Mahi Ceaser Wrap... suffice to say he had the greatest day...
A few of the other pictures were taken around my house... can't you tell I like flower photos... oh... you will see a few 'stuffed' animals on here... that is so you can see some of the 'Florida wildlife' (they were at KSC)... the following day Mike and I decided that we would go to Brevard Zoo... which is the Zoo near where I live... we love going to this little Zoo when we have a few hours to kill... once we get Shauna and she gets old enough we will get a 'family pass' so we can take her here often... we never get sick of the place... after this Mike took me out to dinner to 'Olive Garden' where I love their 'Venetian Apricot Chicken' - delicious...
As for the diet... well, I seem to still be 'stuck' at one weight but funny thing is that my pants and some of the clothes are a little loser... I guess that I am losing a few inches though not weight... I was even told today that I was looking like I had lost weight... so, I guess this is a good thing... at night though... the Mosquitoes are out and you have to walk fast... move those hands fast and you feel them hitting your hand and if you stand still to long you will get eaten alive... I guess that this is a good thing - to make me walk faster and harder to get away from the annoying bugs... well, enjoy...

Hi Fliss,
Happy Birthday to your sister!
I just came back from Reno/NV. Sadly, no "CSI Las Vegas" t-shirt for me. I spent the entire 2 hours I had at the Las Vegas airport in Terminal A looking for one. Oh well, next time. I like the
'Venetian Apricot Chicken, too-yummy!
Take care,
Michaela
