These drawbridges are everywhere down south... so the rich people can drive their houses through here... pity the day was so overcast. After a few days away in Fort Lauderdale... it is back to reality of life... I am so over work (who isn't) to much drama for my liking... one of the people that I work with has decided to not talk to me cause I wouldn't take notice of him when he was being a goofball at work and he got in my face and so I turned around and let him have it back that I had work to do and wanted to get that done... so now I am not being spoken to him - please don't do me any favours... so it ended up taking me nearly a whole day (when we were away) to get over the stress of that... though I won't say anything... I won't make out it was ticking me off... once we got down to Ft Lauderdale... what did we do... NOTHING... the first night we were meeting up with a girl that Mike use to go to school with... he hadn't seen her in 25 years... she was a nice person and I could have easily sat there and chatted for hours... after dinner we went to have drinks on the beach and Donna and I had a Pina Colada but poor Mike was the driver :) We have promised to catch up next time we are down there... turns out there were a few people down in Ft Lauderdale area that I could have visited but had I had more warning we would have planned something... next time... we were invited to a FCC luncheon where there would have been alot of families either who have adopted or are adopting... one of the ladies I know invited me... our FCC is clicky... if you aren't part of that group... you are against the wall... anyway... more photos later of Ft Lauderdale...
I did meet up with a photography friend... I would love to have taken more photos but the weather wasn't that great but still, it was fun to goof around and catch up on the photography gossip :)

The next day was spent floating around in the ocean... we were in there SO long that we were so pruned up... at one stage it started to rain... and jokingly I told Mike we had to get out of the ocean before we got wet from the rain... lol... ok... my weird humour there :)
That night we met up at another restaurant called 'Bru's Room' and the dinner was nice... I would go back again... we met up with a rep Mike deals with and his wife and sons (triplets) were there and it was nice to meet everyone. We were meant to go out on his boat to fish but the boat was in the shop... oh well... next time...

I did get a copy of Lisa See's new book 'Shanghai Girls' and haven't started reading it yet but will in a few days... and she even signed it for me... I must say I loved her book 'Snow Flower and the Secret Fan' and that is the one that got me stuck... I now have it on my iPod as well as having the book and read it countless times... I need a 12 step program :)

The other weekend we were up in Daytona Beach and went to Ponce Inlet to where there is a lighthouse that I had never climbed but wanted to... well, after climbing 200+ stairs my legs were killing me but I felt it more the next two days...

Other then all this, not a great deal going on... so busy with work, getting little things together for our referral so I don't have to run around later on doing it all... still can't believe we are SO close to our turn... never thought I would see the day... I am feeling happy, nervous, giddy, excited, scared - a completely different feeling to what I had during the whole wait... I don't have all my photos on here but I will put them on next time...
I nearly forgot... I was outside yesterday putting some coral I got from the beach down south in the little garden in front of Shauna's room... well, I get the hose to wash my hands, I look up and there is mumma bird sitting on the egg... well, I seem to have wet her (hope I didn't scare her away) but I hadn't seen her sitting there... had I, I would have been more careful... but when she flew away, I knew this was my chance to look inside and this is what I saw... just outside our front door... can't wait to see what happens...

Oh Fliss, I'm so sorry you are dealing with the drama...and the clicks....oh Man do I know what you mean!! I don't have time for drama either..like me, hate me, or get over it.......wow, hope you are having a better day! WE are waiting to hear BIG news soon!!! Fingers Crossed!!
Flissy, don't forget to let me know when your baby shower will be. Gi and I would like to send something for Shauna. Hang in there, girlie, your time is coming. Ana ;)
You definately have alot going on. I know how you feel about work lately. I am there with you.. I hate my job and just hope there is something in sight soon for me to quit when the Littles get here.. but the way things look I just don't know.. Thanks for sharing such great pics.
Very nice pictures. I have never seen a drawbridge up before.
So sorry to hear about the work drama. Your co-worker sounds very immature to me.
What a wonderful vacation you had! Gosh I need one of those!
Wow you have a lot going on girl! I love the pictures.
Happy 4th of July Fliss...
So funny about driving rich house threw.. hahahaha.
I am sorry about that idiot at your work. I would punch him for you if I could. No matter how dumb, or wrong THEY are it still stresses you out. We have to deal with that in the extended family sometimes. Why can't every one just be sweet and friendly. how hard is it anyway!?!?!
